Here is PRM-50-93:

Many delays characterise the NRC review of this.

Here is a delay that was described by NRC over a year ago in an internal e-mail dated March 23, 2011.

Go to page 371 of 899, and the fastest way to get there is via a word search on PRM.  The e-mail discloses that "... all qualified NRR/DSS staff who would be qualified to serve on the working group for PRM-50-93/95 are otherwise occupied ... recent events in Japan."

Hi Bob -

I read with interest the document released by NRC yesterday, "Draft Interim Review of PRM-50-93/95 Issues Related to Minimum Allowable Core Reflood Rate", ML13067A261

One of the statements especially caught my eye: "contrary to the claim made in the petition, “extrapolation” of data does not show “with high probability” that peak cladding temperatures will exceed 2200 degrees F."

I'd very much like to have you come on to the Nuclear.com Daily internet radio show to discuss this. It's live every Monday-Friday starting at 12:05 pm eastern time, and typically runs an hour. You can join in just like calling into a conference call -- 724-444-7444 code 95348#

Best wishes,
